The Community is Your Classroom

The Center for Civic Engagement & 领导 links academics to social action. By working with faculty across campus, we are able to offer Community Based Learning classes, such as Introduction to Professional Writing, Interactive Media, Communicating in the Spanish-Speaking World, and The Ethics of Food. In addition to fostering innovative teaching, 我们为让学生接触重要的社区组织和新的职业道路而感到自豪.

Community-Based Learning

The Marie and Rupert Tarver Summer Internship Program

每年夏天, 一群非常积极的玛丽斯特学生留在校园参加玛丽和鲁珀特·塔弗暑期实习计划, 哪些项目能让本科生与当地非营利组织合作，参与社区改善项目. Participants receive a substantial stipend, tuition credits, and on-campus housing for the duration of the program.
